The Property

Rocky Mount, Virginia is the county seat of Franklin County and located in the Blue Ridge foothills.  Turning from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Rocky Mount is a quick drive to Smith Mountain Lake, Philpott Lake, and a wide variety of short excursions and day trips.  There is a lot to be said for small town living and its variety in adventures.

The Claiborne House sits right in the middle of the historic downtown area where you are walking distance from coffee shops, the Harvester, and local places to grab home cooking.

The Claiborne House has a larger city lot than some of the houses in the downtown area so it allows for views from the 130' wrap around porch and the advantage to stroll through the garden.   While visiting The Claiborne House you are in the heart of our small town.
